Require that uninhabited one- to four-family properties acquired through strict foreclosure or foreclosure sale be registered with the town clerk.Such registration must include name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address of the plaintiff in the foreclosure action, the owner of the acquired property, and any local property maintenance company serving as the plaintiff’s contact with the city.
Authorize municipalities to enforce statutes and ordinances regarding repair and maintenance of properties against registrants, provided that the municipality gives notice of any violations and the opportunity to remedy them.
